Question:

Recommendations on first car?

I'll be getting my first car soon and I wanted to see what everyone here had to recommend for me.

I like imports; think Honda, Acura, Mazda, even VW

I'd be driving mainly around town, but I'd travel far once in a while.

I'd like something that doesn't use a lot of gas.

I like older cars from the late 80's to the 90's.

Manual Transmission and although I'm not a racer I like cars that have a lot of power and that are somewhat fast.

Oh and nothing too expensive!

Any help would be appreciated!

  1. honda accord? acura integra... 1990... stock, and its custom and manual.

  2. Mitsubishi Starion

    FCRX7

    Golf GTI

    Civic Si

  3. Get something Japanese for sure. You mentioned Acura. Those are great. But, if it's a matter of money I would look at Hondas or Toyotas. Mazdas suck. VW can be expensive to maintain.

  4. for $4,000

    look for

98 Acura CL, 98 Ford Mustang V6, 98 Honda Accord or Civic, 98 Nissan Frontier or Pathfinder, 98 Subaru Impreza or Legacy, 98 -00 Toyota Corolla or Echo 00

these are all reliable and will last longer than other cars in this price range.

for around $6k an Acura Integra 98-99 is a great car.

one thing, check with your insurance company first, some are charging more for this car due to it being stolen and wrecked a lot since young "tuners" have adopted it.

  5. If you have the money to do so a moderatley S****y car with a biofuel conversion gas tank would suit you well. You have to have a diesel tank for it but as featured on the series 'ROB and BIG' the engine runs off of vegtable oil and grease! :D

heres a website that may be helpful if youre interested in biofuel. P.s. Its war free!
