  1. Newtown, is the perfect cafe district in Sydney, tis or was the heart of the hippie/feral/counter culture for the past decade or so. Great vegetarian, ethnic(everything from africa-thailand). Bar muda is great, oppisite the fire station.

  2. pancakes on the rocks

  3. i dont know of any specific names but my partner is always going on about darling harbour so you might want to try around there

  4. big johns at Bondi or Brighton/Ramsgate

  5. I always go to the same place in Sydney to eat when I visit there. There are two Czech restaurants near each other in Kings Cross/Potts Point. They have excellent food, big meals and cheap. It is the best food I think and nowhere else in Melbourne or Sydney can you eat like this. Please try it and let me know how you liked it I HIGHLY recommend:

    www.unasdoma.com.au

    and

    www.prague-restaurant.com.au

  6. Doyles for sure.  Best Gourmet Fish and Chips ever with a fabulous view of the Harbour.

  7. If you want the best advice you should check out this website:

    http://www.sydneycafes.com.au/

It has all the info you need to know about where to eat and drink in Sydney and it's sorted not only alphabetically but by location, atmosphere and cuisine.
