Hey, I recently purchased two (2) Rockford P3D212 subs. Here are the specifications of each sub.

12" Dual 2 ohms Punch Stage 3 Subwoofer • 1000W Max • 500W RMS • Kevlar Fiber Cone • Poly-ether-ester Surround • 2.5" 4-Layer 2 ohm high-temp dual voice coil • Double stack Ferrite magnet structure

Now keeping in mind that I own two of these. What amp would you recommend? (Wattage, Channels, etc.)

  1. If not the Kicker ZX1000.1 which I also like, matches well with the Rockford Fosgate T1500-1bd.

  2. I work in car audio and this year kicker's amps I feel are giving to much noise through the rca jacks, besides that I would go mtx instead they tend to underrate there amps more this means if they say the amp put out 1000 watts rms the amp will probably give you like 1200 watts more watts for your money. anyway to me the one I would pick would be a mtx thunder1000xd it will probably cost the same as the kicker but give you allot better sound quality . when wiring your subs to your amp you will need to wire your subs in series then parallel to get a 2ohm load to pull out the thousand watts this will be the same way to wire them if you choose the kicker amp here is a diagram http://www.bcae1.com/spkrmlti.htm it will be the first diagram on the page.

  3. Keeping the ohm load at 2 ohms, I would also recommend the Kicker zx1000.1. A few others to look into would be MTX ta7801r, Fosgate Power t1001bd, or the Memphis Audio 16-mcd1000. Maybe looking into an MA Audio amp that suits you -- they are nice, but slightly overrated.

  4. i would personally recommend the kicker zx1000.1. it will put out 1000 rms to one channel @ 2 ohms. here is how u should wire your subs http://www.thedeepdiscount.com/DualVoice... option #2. Hope this helps.
