  1. Some things that will help you :

    1. The higher the star rating the better the hotel

    2. The pictures will reveal your taste for the hotels acceptability

    3. Obviously the lower the price, with the highet star rating gives you the better value.

    4. Full inclusive can sometimes work against you. What if you want a night or 2 out  in town. What if you don't like the meals. You've paid [ and probably paid more than you need to ] + you waste the meals you don't want. Buy locally at the hotels as you wish - better to be flexible in your plans.

Here's a few website to check alternatives at the last minute for August :

    Majorca : http://www.cheaperthanhotels.co.uk/Spain...

    and in Spanish http://www.hotelsespanol.com/Spain/Mallo...

  2. I've been with my kids to 2 all inclusive hotels in Alcudia in the North of Majorca.

    1st one.. Jupiter/saterno/marte complex(club mac).

Kids will love this one...pools everywhere and organised clubs there....and just over the road a full swim/slide center.

Bars inside all three hotel blocks, entertainment in the evening both outside in an arena type venue and if weather inclement inside the bars.

Outside bar in daytime entertainment area plus 24 hour all inclusive bar in Marte hotel block.

it's a bit of a walk to the beach tho(2km on main roads or 1km if you know to short cut to beach)...so they have a free shuttle bus that goes every 15 mins all day til about 8pm.

    2nd one.

    Belle vue appartments.

This hotel complex is made up of several apartment blocks with restautant in a seperate entertainment/dining area.

On arrival you get issued with a pass card to use in the food places and in the bars.

The benefit being you get a proper appartment with cooking facilities(great for re-warming pizza etc).

Again theres lots of pools and some other stuff to do there..and it's a 10 min walk to the aqua-center place nr club mac.

With the hotel being a bit closer to the beach and main shopping streets theres no bus....but there is a boat to the other side of the lake the hotel is located around and it's very short walk of about 25meters to the beach from the landing stage.

I think out of the two I prefer club mac even if it can be slightly more expensive (usually about £20pp per week in high season) because the food is very good there...well if my kids will eat it..its gotta be good!
