Recommended digital cameras-no retractable lens!

hey can anyone recommend a decent compact digital camera without a retractable lens preferably under £100.thanks!

You might want to check dpreview.com.  You're gonna want to search for Compact, but I think almost any with any decent sort of optical zoom are going to have a lens that pops out and back in.

Perhaps one of the ultra compact ones like the Nikon Coolpix S51.  It lists for ~$170, not sure what that translates into Sterling.  Unfortunately, price is not one of the limiting or sorting factors on dpreview.com (a severe limitation on their part, I think).

What's the problem with a retractable lens?
