Question:

Recommended straighteners? sedu?

i've been straightening my hair for a few years and i've never found a straightener that i really liked. i usually buy conair or revlon straighteners around $20 or so. right now i'm using a 1" revlon ceramic straightener and it doesn't work very well at all. i straighten it for a really long time and it doesn't seem to do much to it. and it becomes poofy and unstraightened after a while as well.

i've been researching the sedu brand of straightener and it seems like its a really good one, although it is a little expensive. i'm wondering if it would be worth it to spend that amount of money for the results. if anyone has used this brand or can recommend another straightener that works well i would really appreciate it! my hair's a little past my shoulders and its kind of thick and wavy.

thanks!!

  1. YES! GET IT!

Products you can get away with buying cheap. But straighteners, no. You must go for the ones that are at least $50-$60, although the best ones are over $100.

I have  CHI and it's pretty good. I ordered a Sedu a few days ago and we'll see how that goes :D

  2. I have very thick hair. And it isnt like I can just let it be without striaghtening it. My mom is a hair dresser so Ive had alot of stuff to try before. I loved the CHI flat iron. It works really well although it was rather pricey. Look for it when they;re on saild though, it helps. Ive tried cheaper straighteners before, they dont work. You need a higher priced gadget, and they last alot longer too, so its worth it. So you arent replacing it as quickly like you do with your cheaper ones.

Good luck. I see Chi is recommended already. :p

  3. i am having a hard time as well...  If you go to Folica.com you can see that the sedu was rated the highest from consumers. I originally wanted the Chi but after reading all of the great reviews for the sedu i am having a change of heart just check out Folica.com  and u can see for urself their stuff is really cheap compared to the regular prices. I have ordered the hot tools curling iron and it came in 4 business days like it had said great customer service and they give u a 30 day money back guarantee so even if u decide not to buy from their the reviews should help u !!! Hope I helped !

  4. GHD have great straighteners.
