Record Breaker to record a victory at Newcastle – Novices’ Hurdle Preview
Perpetuating his excellent track record, Record Breaker is expected to record another splendid success at Newcastle racecourse where he will run in the Malones Novices’ Hurdle on Saturday, March 17.
The Donald McCain-trained bay gelding looks to the hot favourite runner for the high-profile Class 4 contest of 2m distance. With £2,437 of prize money, the race is scheduled to start at 3:40 (GMT).
The competitors of the veteran horse include Bilbo Boggart, Cheatingsideoftown, Justjoe, Rock Relief, Sagliere, Skirlaw, Smart Ruler, Uncle Brit, Almadan, Labretella, Rebeccas Rose, Stormont Bridge and Marshmallow.
Record Breaker accomplished a couple of consecutive victories during September-October 2011. Afterwards, he finished third and sixth in two races during January 2012.
The dashing horse beautifully earned the runner-up status in his last outing at Southwell on February 29. Overall, the experienced runner has 67 races to his portfolio with 9 epic victories.
