  1. Yep.  Here at my house in Southern California it's 82 at 8am, going up to about 100 today (and if you're wondering I DON'T live in the desert!).

  2. It's still snowing in the US.  This is why it's called "global" and not "My Back Yard" warming.

  3. What are you actually taking about.  A reference would be nice.

  4. Wow!

    Was that Fahrenheit or centigrade?

Actually, it doesn't matter, tomorrow or next week, things will be back to normal.

What you didn't say however is when the last record was broken.

I hear this all of the time on the television.

Statements like,  'this was the highest temperature recorded on this date since......'

Or that 'This is the third highest recorded temperature on record for this day'.

If people could be bothered to read 'between the lines'. they would see how ludicrous this type of 'hype' actually is.

People tend to hear what they want to, without thinking about what is actually being said.

If you analyze either statement, you would not jump to a conclusion  that this means that this was the warmest day on record.

Or you might take the reasonable and scientific approach, and say, that both of the above statements say that the temperatures were higher in the recorded past!

The media thrives on sensationalism, and are extremely good at promoting their mis-guided agenda.

The problem is that most viewers only see and hear what they wish to see and hear.

  5. Aaron, I know the temptation is great (I'm sure I've succumbed to it myself), but we have a mountain of scientific evidence that AGW is real on our side. It's not necessary to point out irrelevant short-term or regional weather extremes. If some doubters want to continue being disingenuous like that, let them.

  6. Well its been cool here so were even.  Have a good weekend.

  7. Please learn some Basic science before posting silly comments and questions.

  8. Yesterday sucked over here.  103°F with high winds, and I had to bike through it.  Not fun.

Of course, this has nothing to do with global warming, just like a cold spell or snowstorm doesn't prove global warming has stopped.  The 'skeptics' have made those arguments so often, I'm just glad we don't have to hear them again for a few months.

  9. It's ok as long as the Rev. Al Gore is making money.

  10. Hahahaaahaha you're so funny, i get the sarcasm!

Thx for making my day.... my hot day

  11. I think I've only seen two proponents that haven't used isolated and selective incidences to make a point. But as(Mark) said, par for the course.
