Record streaming media?

how do i record streaming audio from a URL in mp3 / wav or something convertable, realplayer doesn't do it in the format i wamt.

Easiest way to record streaming audio

1) Get an audio recording software (or you even use the Windows Sound recorder)

2) Install it and open the recording window

3)Open your volume control from the task-bar

4) In recording options, click on check box under "Line Output"/"Stereo Output

5) Go back to the recording window and press the record button.

Then, the save the file to the format you want.

Use VLC media player. That will give a number of options of which format to save the stream in. Download it from http://www.videolan.org/vlc (once installed and opened, click on file >> open network stream)
