  1. I think a lot of what impacts student's reactions are their prior experiences.  For example, if a teacher is talking about the importance of teamwork in sports, a child who can't stand playing sports or had a bad experience in a sporting event might tune out or not get much from the lesson.  For a child who loves sports, this type of lesson might be the exact hook they need in order to get into their learning.

    Prior experiences or lack thereof play a huge role in student's reactions to their learning.
