Record video in other formats than .mov ?

Question

On my mac, can I record a video other than .mov? I'm using photo booth.

For some reason youtube won't upload my .mov

I don't think so. Photo booth is made for mac.  And mac's video format is mov The only way you can change it is to convert it or use a mac compatible capture program that supports other formats.

Converting video on Mac I use iskysoft video converter for Mac. It converts between all popular formats and works great.

You may take a look at this guide, it will teach you how to convert mov video to avi or mpeg video on Mac which you can upload to youtube, it works pretty well for me
