  1. I record to wave files then burn to cd.  I've been using wavepad for recording lately.  Its a free download and I like it a lot.

  2. I have posted links so you can see what the parts looks like. You can get these in radio shack, Wal-Mart or what not

    What you need.

    1. RCA cable

    2. RCA Y plug converter to 1/8

    3. Wave audio recorder (download this)

    4. If your cassette player don't have any RCA output plugs, buy a cable that has 1/8/ plug on both ends.

    Step by step:

Connect one end of the RCA cable to the RCA output of your cassette player. Connect the other end to the Y converter 1/8 plug. Plug the Y plug to the mic input in your computer.

If your cassette player don't have any RCA outputs, purchase the 1/8/ plug on both ends. Take on end and plug it in the earphone plug. Take the other end and plug it in the mic input in the computer.

Open the software, press record and press the cassette player to play.

    Good luck
