Recording TV?

Question

Is there any way I can view satellite TV without my decoder.

I want to record a program and watch something else. I do not have a PVR. I have a normal DVD/VCR Recorder.

When I want to record a channel and I want to watch another channel, the channel I am watching records. I have a normal AV connection from DECODER to VCR.

Is there any way to do the recording mentioned above???

only if your recorder has a built in tuner.

you need two decoders to do that. One for the TV and one for the VCR.

the whole point of the decoder is to convert the satellite signal into a tv signal.
