Recording a CD. What equipment do I need.

Im going to record some songs at home and my dad is going to get me some computer software to edit the music. but to get the best CD-like quality what kind of equipment do I need? microphones? filters? headphones? more? and if you know where to get these please let me know.

Buy a microphone to attach to your computer, save it as a file, insert a cd into your disc drive, and copy and paste the files you saved onto the cd
