Question:

Recording game consoles with DVD recorder causes lag?

I got a DVD recorder, but when I record what I play on my console to the DVD-RW, it creates an input-delay in the game. How do I fix this? Is my recorder bad? Maybe the CD?

  1. No, you're experiencing Digital to Digital to Digital to Digital Conversion LAG....even with HDMI connections you will have that lag problem, but it's WORSE when you attempt to use a COMPONENT signal instead of HDMI.....

All signals are BUFFERED to create a whole FRAME of picture...when the buffer fills up, it will then display the picture.

But that creates the delay, and the delay gets longer with each device you add onto the signal path.....

Pretty much your BEST gaming will be when you connect it DIRECTLY to your TV set with a set of HDMI cables and set the TV to GAME mode.....
