Recording local channels via Dish DVR?

Can the Dish DVR record local channels if they are not purchased (received through the satellite receiver)? i.e. Does the local channel package have to be purchased from Dish?

no you can only reccord chanels you have, so yes you do have to buy the pakage.

hi ed, i know of people who have the dish network and they cannot get their local cablevision networking on the dish,youve got to buy a package.
