Recording something onto a DVD-R from my computer?

Is it possible to record something onto a DVD-R from my computer? Is there any special program that i need? When i tried it before from the My Computer folder, it says the disk wasnt compatable. So maybe i need a different program?

Please help! Thanks!

  1. Yes, but your computer must have a dvd writer.  A cd writer will not work.  The newer products are better, with older writers you may run into problems.

    There specific software that is out there.  Roxio, Nero, and many other different types for specific purposes.
