Recording straight to laptop.?

I want to record a live band onto my laptop. What connnections would i need for three microphones into one mike socket on the computer? Would i need any other equipment? I have Audacity and Qbase.

  1. You'd need an actual mixing desk to adjust the levels. Then just record the master output from the mixing desk to your laptop.
