Recording to DVD, recently purchased samsung dvd player & recorder, when i insert a dvd+rw disc it is ejected?

It is ejected in about 5 secs after insertion. Model - Samsung DVD-SH853M

your player may not be compatible with dvd+rw, you may just need to buy dvd+r discs.

also check to make sure it's the right number of layers and sides. it probably needs to be single-sided, single layered or single-sided, dual-layered. check the instructions that came with the burner for the proper format.

It may take dvd-rw discs. Read the instructions! Take it back to shop otherwise.

Sorry,but Samsung recorders only use dvd minus discs. Should have told you this in instructions.
