Recording wiith VHS?

I bought an empty VHS Videocassette which is used to record stuff. I want to record a movie on my TV and I have Dish Network. Do I just put the empty videocassette into the VHS player and press record while the program is on or I do I have to do something else? Someone please tell me!!!!

  1. Yeah.. that's basically it.

    And make sure that the VCR is connected to the Dish Network.


  2. no , the are two cable inputs in the back of your player the cable that conects the player to the tv on end needs to be hooked up  to you tv  and the oter end to the " IN" cable input .  try that i hope it works.

  3. Because your on a dish network, you need to inter-connect the vcr to the digital box that connects to your dish network.
