Records on Richard Ffidoe

Question

Looking for records or the parents of Richard Ffidoe born about 1610 in the Netherlands. He died in 1984 or 1690 in Long Island. He married Hannah was was born in about 1635

***My personal suggestion would be to go to Ancestry.com and check out the family trees.  Contact somebody who seems to have the most information on his and ask them where they got their information, and would they be willing to exchange what you have with what they have.  There seems to be quite a few that have exactly what you have, however, so you must be finding it all in the same place.  It looks like it may be time to start searching Dutch church records.  

Do you know what part of the Netherlands.  It might be quite a search if you had to go through microfilm for each area of the Netherlands, but it could yield high returns in the long run!

I know I took my husband's ancestors in Friesland (Northern Netherlands) back 3 generations just going through microfilm, reel after reel!  It was worth it!
