Records on leaving the UK?

My friend entered the UK illegally not under his real name but then left the UK with his real passport. Now he is applying for UK visa. It is clear embassy does not have any records he ever entered the UK, however do they know that he was leaving the UK?

Well he should be screwed then.  Oh - and harbouring an illegal carries a max sentence of 14yrs in the UK.

Ports and Airports have records of everybody that passes through them (by legal means).

sorry to say but he will  be found out  and possibly detained   then asked to leave the UK  keep in mind this is all post (-9-11  and the UK does not play sympathy games   with immigration
