I accidentaly deleted my files with my user account while deleting my user account in windows vista. Is there any chance I could recover my document files?

If there is, how? I badly needed those files. Thank you in advance.

  1. Hi

Try Hiren's BootCD (Recovery Tools section)

    http://www.hiren.info/pages/bootcd

but care not to destroy bridges behind you, check which files can getting recovered and compare it with other programs those available

hey if i were you, i'd turn my computer immediately off, till find a way, why you should do a thing like that? your chance of recovery getting weak if deleted files getting overwrite

using windows, surfing web and.. will makes temporary files, defrag and and and what can overwrite your files

and  because of this first of all i recommend you using HBCD. if you install an application your deleted files on Windows drive will be in risk of overwriting

Note: DON'T save HBCD in windows drive, save it somewhere else

    Wish you luck

  2. If the files which u deleted are not very big files like videos then there is a chance that you can rollback to a previous state using the restore windows option. You can find that in the Start>Accessories>System Tools..This is in windows XP really but expect to be the same in Windows Vista too. Try it out anyway

    Good luck

  3. Unfortunately, a system restore will not generally restore data files.

I've had really good luck with the "active@" products from http://www.partition-recovery.com/produc...

You can download and run the programs and it will tell you WHAT it can recover, if you find the file you want, you can then pay and register the program without re-starting it, to allow recovery.  They aren't terribly expensive.
