Recover deleted picutres and videos on a mem card?

Question

ok i am trying to recover some deleted files from a sd card can anyone help me or have any software i can use, also when i look at the free space on the mem card its acting like all my pictures are there, can anyone help me, it has our vacation pics on it

I have good experience with two applications:

Ontrack EasyRecovery Professional

Both work surprisingly well, but they will cost you money. I have found out that there is a freeware application named Art Plus Digital Photo Recovery, you could try that one first and see if it works for you:

Try PC Inspector Smart Recovery - it's good and it's free!  I've been able to recover pictures after reformatting a card and taking more pictures (purely for test purposes!!) so you're in with a chance.

If you can use a card reader it'll be quicker and you won't flatten your batteries.
