Recover files form a Gateway ML6720?

Question

I sent my Gateway ML6720 to fix the mouse on it. When I got it yesterday, i turned it on and saw they restored to when I just got it! I had 15 gigs of pictures and only backed up a dvd worth. Is there anyway to recover the pictures and the os (Vista) to when I had it before the warranty? Anything will help!

I Have The ML6721. Im Pretty Sure You Can Use That Recovery Drive Can't You?
