Question:

Recovering accidentally deleted Firefox folders?

I was organizing my bookmarks on Firefox tonight. I had imported them from Internet Explorer. I had 2 copies. So I was organizing Copy B so I that deleted Copy A. I cleared out most of Copy A (the one that had fewer bookmarks) but somehow I accidentally deleted some of the folders in Copy B. I did System Restore and File Search to find but to no avail. In other words, how do I recover my bookmark (If I can) folders on Firefox. Please help because I don't really remember the sites that were deleted (it was maybe about 4-6 folders of accidentally deleted sites). Thanks.

  1. Firefox bookmarks tend to be kept in the file:

    c:\Documents and Settings\your username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\your profile number.default\bookmarks.html.

They also appear to be backed up five-deep in the bookmarkbackups subdirectory.

    Good luck.
