Recovery time after lasik eye surgery ?

I have an eyesight of 20/400 uncorrected and want to do a surgery, i think it's lasik to correct it to at least a 20/50(20/30). Ia am applying with a police dept. that does have an eyesight requirement. It is determined by the doctor. ut I dont want to take any chances. I need to know how long is the recovery because, I am working and can I wear dark glasses for the light sensibility ?

You are required to take a couple of days off work after lasik and your vision might be blurry off and on for a couple of weeks.  I had a problem reading and using a computer for the next couple of days afterwards.  I went back to work on day 4 and had a bit of a problem focusing on my computer work at times.

I was given dark sunglasses at the lasik center and told to wear them all the time if outside for a whole week.  Now that it's over a week, I don't really have to wear them anymore and my eyes are not particularly light sensitve but they are still dry and I need to use eye drops.  Today is day 10 for me.
