Recreate a Fire Emblem character in D&D?

Question

I want to recreate the Fire Emblem 7 character Guy/Karel as a Dungeons and Dragons character. As they are Swordmasters, I should have some way of giving them extremely high critical rates, as well as good speed. Any ideas? As a class, I'm thinking either Rogue/Assassin or Fighter. Please help me.

While I have no idea who that is, you might want to look at the Tome of Battle: Book of Nine Swords. It has a few new classes in it that combine a fighters ability to whack things with powers, called "maneuvers." From your description, it could be what you are looking for.
