  1. A recruit in boot already having these issues? Did you know about this before going to boot? Or is this just a way to get out? It's much easier to get out during boot than once graduated. But what is the problem? It's the freaking Navy! You won't be boots on the ground searching out Bin Laden. You won't be clearing houses in Fallujah. The only real threat to you is your superiors and them telling you what to do, and the possibility of getting seasick when you're on float. But you get to see the world. Cherish this time. Stop thinking about just yourself and how hard it is to do what you're told. Life is hard all over buddy. Learning how to follow directions and working as a team will make you an adult. My first deployment was to Bosnia/Herzegovina. I had anxiety. I think every soldier about to deploy for the first time has it. I say enjoy that anxiety because you will appreciate it later when you look back on your life. If you use this as an excuse to get out now, what will you see in 10 years?

However, if you are going to be one of those sailors who is always complaining, constantly needing attention, and in constant need of some medical treatment for real or make believe conditions, get out now because you will only become a danger to yourself and those around you. The military isn't for everyone. Some people can make it and others end up in the freakin hospital for anxiety....what? I'm not saying you're not cut out for this but if you don't grow up a little then you won't be. There's still hope. You just have to decide what you want and what you will do about it. Good luck.

  3. leave because he cant handle it..And would hate t have him in war or a high intense area and have him break.

  4. Pucker up your sphincter, and be a man.

  5. Maybe he should ask for a discharge based on medical problems. It sounds like he is not suited to military life.

  6. may get a medical discharge

  7. 99% of the time, it's someone's way of trying to get out of the military.  They can't handle the stress and want a way to go home.  We were happy to see those guys go when I was in the Marines.  We didn't want them around.  Pansies.
