How can a person find a job work in recruiting with no previous experience?

I got a job as recruitment consultant last year with no previous experience.

Recruitment is very much a sales position and they will expect you to have either had a proven sales background or have have the ability to sell.

If you see a recruitment job advertised, ring them direct and sell yourself. After your initial contact, pester the recruiter until they agree to interview you. That will impress them as that is what you will be doing in the job.

If they ask you where job leads will come from, tell  them "everybody I speak to" Everybody you talk to in this line of work is a wealth of information where vacant jobs are conerned. If somebody responds to a job advert, they will have responded to others and you will be expected to probe them for information. Also if somebody has left one job to go to a job you have found for them, there will obviously be a vacancy withintheir preious company.

depends, some companies just look for a sales or customer service backround, not all require particular recruitment experience.
