Hi,

My daughter got potty trained 2 weeks ago but started pooping 4-5 times a day. Now it's up to 7-8 times a day. She also started complaining of her butt hurting (I am assuming r****m) since there is no redness nor irritation around the a**s area. I do put cream there just in case, but that doesn't seem to help and she can cry for good 5 minutes saying that she is in pain. Her stools are on the softer side but not ubnormal by any means.

My husband called the advice nurse and was told that she has constipation..................this nurse was obviously not listening! I am waiting for a call from her Dr. but was wondering if any of you had the same experience?

Thank you.

  1. She could very well be constipated even though she is going often.  7-8 times a day is ALOT.  Have her x-rayed to see if there is a blockage (sometimes the poo works its way around the blockage).  Hopefully it will be taken care of easily.
