Question:

Recurrent, sporadic lower back pain

twice this year, about 3-4 months apart, i experienced a sudden and paralyzing lower back spasm. i could not stand up or straighten my back for 15 minutes, and then once the pain slightly subsided i was in pain for about a week. i saw a physiotherapist, a sports doctor and my GP but the exercises did not prevent the pain from recurring and the x-rays did not show anything. again, a few days ago, i started experiencing the same pain, but without the initial spasm. my lower back just clenched up... and the pain sometimes radiates to my right leg and right side of the neck. i am now wondering if perhaps i have damaged a nerve? should i see a chiropractor? i am concerned because this keeps recurring and none of the past doctors have helped me much.
