I have had recurrent UTI/Bladder infections and now my doc wants me to go to an urologist...I went to the doc today and they said I had a lot of blood and bacteria in my urine..I don't know what to do. I take vitamins, the cranberry pill, I drink water, I stay clean, I am married and have been for two months and can't have s*x. It is putting a strain between us physically...anyone been here before?

  1. I don't think there is much else you can do as you seem to be doing all the right things. Just hope your appointment comes through fairly quickly then you can get to the route cause of your problems Have you tried explaining to your hubby

  2. This is normal when getting married. 1. Always wipe front to back. 2. Use bar soap only from now on. 3. Use a clean washcloth each time and wipe that area first. 4. Always take showers, no baths until this gets under control. 5. Always take showers before having s*x and bath each other, men tend to hold lots of bacteria. 6. Cotton, breathable underwear and change it often. 7. I am assuming you have been tested for STDs since getting married to make sure that isn't it. 8. Try drinking 2-3 tbsp of apple cider vinegar 2-3 times a day. It is recommended you work your way up to the 3. Start with 1tbsp 3 times a day. Don't overdo it you will get sick. 9. Lose all sodas, only water! 10. Make sure it isn't a kidney stone or something like that. Also there are sometimes there is something wrong with the anatomy of the urinary system causing it. Vit C daily may help. Oh yeah, don't forget to go pee immediately after s*x and rinsing afterward may become necessary too. Sometimes long term antibiotics are needed to kick it. I would try to avoid this if possible. OH yeah, try seeing if they will prescribe your husband a round of antibiotics also just to make sure he isn't spreading something he isn't having symptoms of.

  3. My sister-in-law has a similar problem.  Some women just may be prone to these kind of infections.  You should probably go to a urologist.  Wearing cotton panties is usually something that will help.  Avoiding swimming pools or jacuzzis, wiping front to back and avoiding frequent s*x.....but you seem to be doing all that....

Let the urologist tell you.  Good luck!

  4. if you have had a lot of s*x recently that can cause UTIs .. just make sure you get antibiotics for these otherwise they won't fully go away and just keep coming back. get treated at the first sign of one.. The urologist will have you do a test where they have you pee on a rag ( best way to put it) while they take xrays possibly.

  5. you really should go to a urologist some women are just prone to infection. a urologist may be able to pinpoint the problem and why you keep getting them. make sure your partner is clean before s*x too. and always urinate after s*x to remove any bacteria that could have gotten in there. my doctor told me they could even come from sitting on public toilet seats. i usually start  my treatment off with AZO maximum strength and it helps out. that can definatly strain a new marriage remember there are other things you can do to "take care of him" i know its not much but i hope i helped in some way. you should also ask yourself if these infection occured before your s*x partner or only after if after it could be something about him and you mixing or just him..
