Question:

Recurring rat nightmare?

For the past several nites, I have dreamt that my husband and I are looking out the sliding glass door from our bedroom into our backyard. We see the land start to move and all these huge, fat rats emerge from the soil and start running towards us, into our house. It's really disturbing. What does it mean? Thanks.

  1. i'd wager the rats maybe represent some fear you might have looming about events you cannot control. perhaps something that has settled down but could rise up again soon.

alternatively, perhaps you should try to look at the bigger picture.  you are in bed sleeping and see something coming during your sleep towards you--perhaps it represents a worry about your yard or your house or about  something bad happening while you are asleep.

think back to whether a friend or family member or coworker recently had some sort of distressing occurrence at their home or while sleeping.  maybe that preoccupation is surfacing in your dream.

more specifically, according to http://www.dreamsleep.net/rats-dream-mea... , rats could be symbolic of the "bad" or impure thoughts that we worry about having (but everyone does) that seem beneath us and that we must push past.

  2. It means that you have many people who dislike you and your husband. Usually to do harm when you if you dream of rats.

Please be careful and watchful!  Think of someone who has "characteristics" of a rat.  Meaning how this person or these people move and act.

  3. have you ever had mice in your house? did you ever have a pet rat that died? did the previous owner of your house have a rat that died? those are the questions you should ask yourself. how bad do you hate rats? are you, or were you once afraid that mice/rats would infest your house? do you have a child who thought of having a rat in the house? have you actually physically SEEN a rat, and how did you react? do you CALL someone a rat? are you too afraid that rats/mice could come in through that entrance? are you at the age where you still have bad dreams? if not, something in your life is causing those dreams.

think about it and it will come to you.

MAYBE it has nothing to do with rats, but it describes a person, or group of people. maybe you feel as if your husband is the only thing important thing to you and everyone else treats you like nothing, they use you like a bunch of rats invading your home. or maybe not?
