Recycling, ?

hi, I've been living in the States for the last 3 years and I'm sadly suprised that I can't find any place which will recycle batteries, like AA or AAA, some do recycle rechargeable ones but what about the other kind? In Europe (where I used to live) I think batteries were one of the first thing we started to recycle. Why is that?

  2. any lumber store [lowes,home depot] will take rechargable bars...regular ones...the trash!

  3. Why don't you start a place?  Contact you're Conservation District Office and find out what the laws are for proper disposal.  Then have a dropoff site and advertise that (for free is possible), fliers, TVnews, tradeguide papers, organizations.  Who knows you might start something profitable.

  4. toss them in the garbage.

  5. your right I live in Ontario Canada and as far as I know there is no place to take the batteries you speak of
