  1. To recycle used notebooks is just like recycling your computer. Its got memory, which someone will possibly find it very interesting.

  2. Well, there's paper mache. Then you could try to sell them in a yard sale. Or perhaps you could cut the paper into pieces to glue together for clothes on your favorite doll, and paint them. Maybe you would like to build a birdhouse, and see robins or finches born in what used to be your math book. I would like to trade with people something else bigger or better, and see what I could end up with.

  3. Just about everything can be recycled these days.

If it's notebooks, not textbooks, you're talking about, they can probably go as-is into a paper recycling bin. (If your waste pickup company doesn't recycle paper, look to nearby schools, libraries and civic centers that may have paper recycling bins that help them raise money..)

If your notebooks have metal spiral bindings, it would be very kind of you to slide those out and put those in a metal recycling bin.

If it's textbooks you want to recycle, pop them on CraigsList.com or another site to see if they're still of use to someone. If they're relevant, you could give them to a local library that accepts them for resale. Convinced they're beyond salvage? Pop them into the recycling bin.

  4. ummm i dunno
