  1. go to local scrapyard.

  2. I'm going to assume that this car doesn't work, since you could probably sell it to somebody if it did.

Go to the yellow pages and look up "auto parts - used."  You'll find several junk yards that will buy old vehicles.  You might not get more than $100 for the vehicle, but how much do you expect to get for a car that doesn't work?  Unless you're willing and able to take out the engine, remove the doors, strip the frame, take out all the electrical parts and gas lines, and find a way to haul a ton or two of steel to the scrap yard, this is your best bet.

They can then sell the parts.  This is good in two ways: it's a cheap way for people with lower income to fix their cars, and it allows for even the non-recyclable items (e.g. the plastic used for the side view mirrors, the seats, etc.) to be used again.

If you're really desperate to make some more money, go on Craigslist or some other such site and advertise the vehicle.  Give the make, model and year of the car.  Be honest; state that the car is not working and let the reader know (if you even know) what's wrong with the car.  Do the same for any local newspapers that allow cheap or free classified ads.  Someone might buy it as-is so that they can fix it and use it.  You still won't get much for a non-working car, though.

  3. check with your local scrapyard or towing service (they know where they take the totaled cars from car crashes). here they will buy your car from you and you don't have to do anything. just give them a call. most of them will even come & get it.

    Good Luck!

  4. well its not that easy to take a car apart most of the ones these days are uni body and spot welded together you may need some specific tools to take things apart, contact a reputable scrap yard yes there can be money to be made but only if the parts are in demand and if there is not a glut on the market of these parts and to get prime price the parts need to be in prime shape no dings or scratches on the .Better of to sell the whole thing outright and be done with it,where do you plan on storing the parts or how to deliver the parts to the buyers it may cost you more in the long run

  5. In order to maximizes the value of the sold parts you would need to sell them individually. If the car in question is vintage and the parts difficult to find - contact a local restoration shop and see if they are interested in purchasing it for parts. If it is newer you can try cleaning the parts and selling them as used in a paper like the Recycler or selling the whole car "for parts" in the same paper. Scrap iron is only going to pay well if you have volume and a way to compress the metal to maximize weight. Selling "for Parts" in an Auto Trader or Recycler will most likely net you the highest rate of return. Good Luck!

  6. Check with the local junkyard or scrap yard.

You can get money from them, won't be much.

  7. There you are ! You've got all the good answers, regardless of which state/country you are, these are the places that you could deal with your unused, recycled items.

    Good Luck.

  8. go to a junk shop.they buy scaps of metal
