Recycling and containers that foods are bought in at stores,why do they do that?

Why do they put glue thats almost impossible to get off? when people would probably use them again,some are microwaveable some look pretty good like ones you buy,alot you could use for drinking glasses bowls etc.if they would just make them alittle different.WE WOULD HAVE ALOT LESS GARBAGE EH?

EH I hear you loud and clear . but most people jsut toss them without thinking. And Walmart and their green pitch , Im wondering why they package the meat the way they do if they are so green.

There are "chemicals" that will remove pesky stickers, such as "Goo-B-Gone.  I also use WD 40 and/or alcohol.  Some containers can be soaked in water, ie: wine bottles to remove labels.

In my area, none of that stuff has to be removed.

First, your question reminds me of an old Jeff Foxworthy joke:  You might be a redneck if you have a set of salad bowls that all say "Parkay" on the side.  Thanks for the smile.

I was wondering that exact thing last night while I sorted through the recycling materials.  I'm concerned that some of the #6 plastics will be refused because I couldn't get the adhesive off.  As I cleaned one glass bottle, I wondered how many of them were tossed because the person who would have been willing to recycle simply couldn't get the label off easily.

I am troubled by children's toys, as well.  The wrapping will be tossed in just seconds, but I suspect the wrapper often costs more in both terms of actual money and in terms of materials used than the toy inside it.  

I really discourage my son from buying "collectible" items from the coin dispensers because of the wasteful packaging.
