Question:

Recycling for businesses?

by  |  earlier

I would like to find somewhere that will recycle electronic components, foam, cardboard, and plastics for businesses.

I do live in a major city, so I wouldn't think it would be so difficult, but I've checked alot of places and can't find much, except for the cardboard.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Ed

  1. At our business we use the GreenDisk company to recycle our electronic waste. We bring our cardboard and plastic bottles to a local recycling facility. We have no place to recycle foam, but try to reuse packing foam and peanuts when possible. Also, you didn't ask, but to recycle batteries we use BigGreenBox company and Radio Shack.

  2. Maybe check with a local school for the electronics. My local school is working with this company to do a fundraiser. They are taking the normal cellphones, ink cartridges, batteries, etc as well as DVD Movie, DVD Video Game, Laptop / Notebook Computer, MP3 Player, Digital Camera, Digital Video Camera, Digital Picture Frame, Portable DVD Player, Video Game Console, xBox, Playstation and GPS Device.

  3. If you're in the UK, have you tried this site?

You can do a search for facilities by entering a postcode, otherwise maybe contact your local council:
