  1. Yes I know a guy who has porta Johns and uses the waste on his garden.

  2. Throughout Ontario, municipalities arrange for pick-up.

The big soft-drink companies were supposed to fund this.

Not many companies are buying the waste materials yet.

  3. Not that I know of but I have been working on starting one. Great way to clean up our world and get compensated to do it.

  4. Around here the town picks up recyclables in bins they provide. If the garbage collectors see any recyclables in your trash they will not pick up the trash barrels and the health department will come around the next day and give you a ticket for having trash barrels out on a non-pickup day.

All the supermarkets have machines that take the bottles and cans and give you a receipt that the store will pay you in cash for.

  5. Well yea.  There is a guy who shows up at the grocery store on saturdays in a small cube truck with hand made cardboard signs.  He pays less money than the junkyard pays, but he is closer, especially if you are getting groceries on saturdays.

Other companies have made these can collecting machines at some stores, sometimes called the "Golden Goat" but they really pay less, and they had to buiy these expensive machines

  6. ...good question.

  7. We still have a state (South Australia) that give you 5 cents per bottle returned. Kids love it and it's not hard to collect a few bottles to buy a bag of lollies (candy).

It use to be the whole of Australia right up to the start of the 1980's. I think it should be reintroduced.

IMAGINE.. If you produce something and package it you are expected to reclaim that packaging at your own cost. Make the producers of Glossy packaging and overly large cardboard backing pay for the mess they are creating. Surely they will reduce their packaging.

    Cheers
