Question:

Recycling!?

I have a project and i need help to know the difference between renewable, nonrenewable, reusable, and inexhaustible resources. And i also need help listing 3 different types of each.... please help!!

  1. Renewable: a resource that can be reused.  Fresh water resources is a good example as the water you use eventually gets recycled by the planet and thus replenished (in theory anyway).

    Nonrenewable: a resource that once consumed cannot be replaced or exploited again.  Ore deposits are a good example, once dug up they cannot be renewed even if the metals extracted can late be recycled.

    Reusable: a resource that can be used again.  Recyclable materials such as scrap metals and waste plastics and paper are examples.

    Inexhaustable: probably no such thing in reality but sunlight might come closest to being inexhausatable.  Many resources such as water and air were once considered inexhaustable until increased demand and pollution began to take their toll.
