Do you put your empty spray cans in with your food cans when recyling?

No, They have to go in a special bin at the dump do to the pressure in the cans that is left

We cannot recycle aerosol cans where I live (E. Dorset), which is a pity. It may be the same where you are, but best to check with your local authority - the one you pay council tax to. Should have info on their website.

We do. All our recycling goes in 1 bag and is sorted by someone else before it gets recycled!!

This site says "spray cans UNLESS INSTRUCTED" : I'd take that to mean read the label on the can itself.
