  1. no you cant recycle styrofoam its just not recycable

  2. Its frustrating for me that styrofoam can not be recycled. I try to not buy styrofoam like buying eggs in paper cartons instead of SF.

  3. Yes EPS can can be recycled. That's why there is a recycling symbol underneath most cups. Also they're expanded polystyrene cups (EPS) not styrofoam. Styrofoam is blue and a type of EPS which is made my Dow Chemical. It's used in the construction industry. Just go to this link and you can read more on recycling.

Although I am not entirely sure if the cups can because they have been contaminated with liquids.

  4. Last year in Earth Science class we learned that the companies that make packing peanuts are making them out of starch now.  The teacher showed us one and it dissolved when he ran it under water.  Check to see if the packing peanuts you have are the starch ones.

  5. Styrofoam is not able to be recycled. So don't buy use reusable cups instead or paper or paper if you really have to be able to throw them away after one use.

  6. no u cant recycle them, so DONT BUY THEM

  7. - Break them up into little pieces and use them for packing peanuts.

    - Plant seeds for your garden in them.

    - Save a huge amount of them and use for flotation in a home made life raft.

The best thing to do is never buy them and complain when a coffee shop dosn't offer an alternative.
