Hello everyone, I'm helping out a friend who's going to a party where everyone brings dishes that are of the primary colors: red, yellow, and blue.

I was wondering if you all had some ideas? The more original and creative, the better!

  1. strawberries, corn, blue cupcakes

  2. Watermelon, pineapple and blueberries.

    Blue Jello.

You could do a dessert pizza with candies and use blue m & m's.

There are blue potatoes. You may have to just go with items that are named blue - like bleu cheese and bluefish, blue crab.

You can  make red cabbage blue by adding baking soda to it.

Incidentally, whomever came up with blue as a color was silly. Studies have been shown that blue food is abhorrent to people. It's just not appetizing. I'd stick to red and yellow.

  3. How about some rice crispy treats with blue and red sprinkles you can add white sprinkles as well but the rice crispy treat will already be white from the marshmellow.

  4. strawberrie/rasberry ice cream

    yellow pound cake

    blue berries

  5. Red: berries, red peppers, apples, watermelon

Yellow : bananas, yellow peppers, pineapple, mango (peeled)

Blue: blueberries, ice a cake or cupcakes blue

  6. Red: Stuffed Red Bell Peppers, Spaghetti with tomato sauce, apples, strawberries, rasberries, watermelon, strawberry/cherry jellow, tomato soup, red m&ms, cherries, crab, lobster

Yellow: Corn, bananas, pineapple, cheese, cooked squash, cornbread, mango, Pappardelle (which is an egg pasta), scrambled eggs, yellow m&ms

Blue: blueberries, blue m&ms, a cake with blue frosting, blue corn tortilla chips, blue ice cream (usually cottan candy). hmm, not many blue foods.

  7. Make some salsa with red and yellow tomatoes. Then bring blue corn chips to eat it with. Very easy to make.

  8. When I was little, my mom used to use food coloring in my milk to get me to drink it. So how about this...using blue food coloring :

    Blue spaghetti

    red tomatoes

    red and yellow peppers

    yellow squash

add onions and garlic, some extra virgin olive oil, fresh basil, a little oregano, salt and pepper to taste; and you have a great dish.

Using rotini or penne' pasta or any short pasta would probably be easier to eat.

    Have a great time
