Red Bull Racing Team expected to unleash their new car at Rajdamnoen
Red Bull driver Mark Webber became one of the favourites for the 2010 Formula 1 title after an extraordinary performance. The Australian driver was able to score consistently this season and scored 4 wins and 5 pole positions as a result.
It seemed that Mark was going pretty well until the Turkish Grand Prix where his own teammate Sebastian Vettel crashed into his car while challenging him for the lead. Sebastian retired as a result while Mark Webber finished in 3rd place. After
that, McLaren started to show its true colours as Lewis snatched the lead away from Mark within due time.
However, after a rollercoaster of a ride, Sebastian Vettel secured the title with Mark in 3rd place in the drivers’ standings.
Since Red Bull has Adrian Newey, it is expected that the team will once again be one of the top running teams in 2011. Recently, Red Bull announced that Mark Webber will drive their Formula 1 car for exhibition of the F1 driving in Thailand on Rajdamnoen
Avenue as a part of the celebrations for the King’s Birthday.
The event will be known as the “Street of Kings Rajdamnoen Red Bull Bangkok 2010” show. HM the King was briefed by Mark and the Red Bull racing team about the car and it is quite an honour for the country to host such a big event. Webber presented the King
with a model F1 Red Bull car.
“The exhibition is part of the celebrations of the King's 84th birthday and Red Bull Racing's drivers' and constructors' world title,” said Saravudh Yoovidhya, Red Bull Beverage managing director.
The event is expected to take place on the 25th of December where Mark Webber will drive his RB6 Renault RS27 over a circuit. The public can enjoy the show free of charge that will also host an informal race as well.
Princess Chulabhorn is expected to preside over the event organized by Red Bull and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration jointly.
