Red Bull Racing Team reveals new car for 2011 Formula 1 season
The current Formula 1 world champions Red Bull Racing Team recently revealed their new car for the 2011 Formula 1 season, which was the first car that was launched at the pre-season test session, in Valencia.
The team claims that the RB7 is an “evolution” and they believe that this car will enable the team to retain its championship.
The reigning 2010 Formula 1 world champion Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber revealed the car before the session and the team is expected to use it during the session as well.
The RB6 in 2010 was very consistent and reliable at each race and it was also like an “evolution” in the sport. However, the RB7 has KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System), as it is now legal along with movable rear wings, according to FIA’s rules and regulations
report for 2011.
Red Bull Racing Team is going to keep its driver’s line-up exactly the same and it is expected that they are going to be the most challenging team on the grid once again.
Other than that, Williams also revealed its new car, which is known as the FW33, and it is also going to feature a KERS device in it, which is designed by the team itself.
Williams is going to have Rubens Barrichello and Pastor Maldonado as their full season drivers for the season. The team replaced Nico Hulkenberg with Pastor Maldonado and the team has been highly criticized for this move.
However, Red Bull Racing Team has proved that they can be consistent and they have the ability to return to the grid year after year and give a top runners performance.
The team proved itself after the 2009 Formula 1 season. Red Bull finished in 2nd place in the constructors’ standings in 2009 behind Brawn GP and outran teams such as Ferrari and McLaren.
In 2010, the team secured both titles, and with drivers Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber, the team has a high chance of winning races once again and hopefully, defending its titles from their main rivals McLaren, Ferrari and this time, Team Mercedes as well.
