The German has won 10 rounds out of 16 races of the 2011 Formula 1 season so far. After winning the 2011 Japanese Grand Prix, he was crowned the 2011 world championship.

Talking to reporters, the 24-year-old driver commented, “It’s the small things, like coming home and opening the door, which make you realise what happened and that all the hours have paid off. The season is not yet over though.”
He went on to mention, “It’s not usual to be a part of something like that, and I don’t see myself in a position to say this is what I have done. This is what they have done. We are a team and we are happy to do all we do. I care about the sport, I know
its history and the numbers. I like to see from time to time my name somewhere, but I don’t set myself targets about the number of wins or stuff like that.”
Apart from that, the double world champion added that they still have three more races to go and the chance to prove themselves again ahead of their viewers.
Vettel is placed at the top position ahead of all drivers with 349 points in the 2011 drivers’ championship after completing 16 rounds of the ongoing season so far.
