Red Bull Racing duo Vettel, Webber express hunger to keep on winning – Formula 1 news
Red Bull Racing driver Sebastian Vettel has said that he feels the burden of 2011 constructors’ championship is off his shoulders now, after Red Bull claimed the title in recently held Korean Grand Prix.
Vettel’s dominance throughout the 2011 Formula season and the teammate Mark Webber’s consistent performances let Red Bull secure the title easily at the Korean Grand Prix. This is Red Bull’s back-to-back title winning the 2010 year’s title as well.
Talking to the Official Formula 1 website, the German also mentioned that he really enjoyed Yeongam circuit, but he was very relieved to have made sure the title is theirs.
“It seems to be very difficult for people to imagine what this really means, for the whole team and the whole factory,” Vettel said.
“It is not only a boost for the people that are working at the track, where everyone sees that they are making a difference. There is also much more taking place behind the scenes. It was a lot of fun on the track on Sunday, but also a lot of pressure has
fallen off my shoulders after I crossed the line.”
Although Vettel warned that people would assume if they have bagged the world championship title and the constructors’ championship, they will ease off in the races, but that is just not how they do things at Red Bull. Contrary to that they will be gunning
hard to win the last three races of the 2011 Formula 1 season as well to show even more dominance on an already dominant display for the ongoing season.
Recently, Vettel's teammate Webber also said that he would rather take the wins over 2nd place position, which just goes to show the work ethics and the hunger of the drivers for winning every race.
In recently held Korean Grand Prix, the Australian driver came at the third position in the final race classifications after running on the sets of soft and supersoft tyres by Pirelli.
The Red Bull drivers are ready to race at the newly unveiled Buddh International Circuit in Noida, India, on October 30.
