Red Bull Racing have a plan to strike back in 2012 Chinese Grand Prix – Formula 1 news
Dr Helmut Marko, the team advisor of Red Bull Racing has said that they have a plan to strike back in Chinese Grand Prix which is to be held at Shanghai International Circuit on April 15, 2012.
Red Bull Racing driver, Sebastian Vettel could not be able to score even a single point in the second race held at Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia because of his collision with Narain Karthikeyan of HRT.
Nonetheless, Marko said that he feels positive that they will make their way to the front in the season ahead.
“On the other hand, the whole package did not come together for us,” he said. “There are so many things that have to come together. But we have a plan for how to deal with it for China, to solve our problems. I’m confident that we will get it back together
sooner or later. It makes things of course more exciting, although not quite as easy for us.”
Although, Vettel could not perform well in the qualifying, nevertheless, the double world champion secured a second podium finish in the first race at Albert Park in Melbourne, Australia.
Red Bull won the last two championship titles out of which they completely dominated during the preceding year with their driver, Vettel who claimed 11 victories out of 19 races.
However, the defending champions struggled during the last day of the final test held at Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona due to the upgrades made in the car and they could only manage to complete 23 laps while came last on the timesheets.
Besides, Red Bull have been working at their best to make the necessary preparations and essential developments to improve the pace of the car. Moreover, they are confident that they will be able to explore the true potential RB8 in the upcoming races.
It will be important to mention that Marko admired the performance of Sergio Perez of Sauber who secured an impressive second podium finish at Sepang and said, “Over the race distance (in Malaysia) we saw that (Sauber’s Sergio) Perez was the fastest. In
wet but also in dry conditions, the Sauber was absolutely the fastest one.”
