Red Bull Racing mock Ferrari on Christmas post cards
Red Bull recently issued its Christmas post cards and it seems that the team has tried to make fun of one of their top rivals “Team Ferrari” on it. It is a tradition in Formula 1 that most of the teams issue their team’s Christmas post cards during Christmas
time and even though it was made for a small number of people, the card was uploaded on the Internet as well.
The picture on the card has Sebastian Vettel in a Red Bull ahead of Santa Claus riding his traditional reindeer sleigh.
The card states “Santa is faster than you... Please confirm you understand this message” to mock Ferrari’s team orders. Despite the ban on team orders, Team Ferrari ordered Felipe Massa to let Fernando Alonso pass at the German Grand Prix 2010 in order to
secure maximum points and keep Alonso’s title run alive.
Other than that, Bernie Ecclestone’s card was one of the most creative cards this year. The boss of International Automobile Federation (FIA) asks Red Bull to use team orders in 2011. However, Christian Horner and Bernie cannot decide which driver to side
with even after a coin toss. The card states, “It doesn’t always fall the way you think.”
Since team orders will be allowed in 2011, it would be interesting to see how Ferrari work as they are known “The masters of team orders.”
Red Bull Racing were in supreme form in 2010 since they clearly had the best car on the grid in terms of pace, consistency and grip.
The team secured the constructors’ title a race before the grand finale in Abu Dhabi where Sebastian Vettel took the drivers’ title as well. As a result, Red Bull secured both of the 2010 titles.
According to Adrian Newey, the team is currently working on their car for 2011 and he believes that Red Bull’s new car is going to be “revolutionary” for Formula 1.
Since the team is keeping both Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber for another season, it is expected that Red Bull are going to be one of the top running teams once again along with McLaren, Ferrari and Mercedes GP.
